The wave of the conductor’s wand, The beginning of something magical. As each instrument plays its individual song, Beautiful and intertwining notes fill the land.
A crescendo causes the heart to flutter, With its amazing power and great beauty. A rallentando slows the rapid heart beat, Then, the decrescendo brings upon a silent utter.
The key changes from A flat to F major, The once cheery song now takes on a serious sound. A fermata is held and all is still. The conductor, hands raised, like an old stager.
He brings his arms down and so begins The allegro before the end of the magic. The colorful notes twist and twine, Then they end with a final, graceful spin.

I love it! I can totally feel this whole thing as you describe it, but isn't a rallentando an increase of speed? So wouldn't that not slow the heartbeat?

Definition of Rallentando: slackening; becoming slower (used as a musical direction) Thank you!!

Really? I was always told that was a ritardando and that rallentandos were increases in speed. Hm... Yeah... I'm not exactly a pro at terminology. My bad. Anyway, love your poem!

The root word for ritardando is ritard; to slow. Allegro is to speed it up. XD I love you!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!

Isn't this the forum section for rhyming poems? I'm not trying to be a troll but wand and land do not rhyme. Maybe put hand instead of wand?
