Tyvra glanced upward at them. To him it was a field of tiny dots, all slightly more detailed than the human eye could see. Each one had its own tint, its own glow, and he couldn't help but smirk at her comment. "Vivid, yes, but not as you have seen them in true form."

“Has it really been that long since I have been in that form? Then again, my mind is constantly failing me. Still, everything has a new beauty about it all. I kind of like it,” Carea sighed, loosening her grasp as she slowly calmed herself.

"I am glad," Tyvra replied. He fell silent for a while, letting the wind glide smoothly over his scales. It felt good to be up in the air. He prayed Charon didn't take his wings from him one day. He shook the feeling from his mind and took up humming lowly to himself. It was an old tune from his youth. He was surprised some days that he even still remembered it. It was because Charon let him, of course, but he tried his best not to let it sour his thoughts again.

Carea finally relaxed herself enough to sit upright and merely holding onto him with her legs and a gentle touch on his neck. She watched as a cloud soared by, and ever curious, she stuck her hand into it and laughed slightly. “Cold…” she mumbled, surprised by the difference in feeling. She hardly noticed the moisture when she was covered in scales. Skin was so much more sensitive. She grew silent as Tyvra started humming. With a sigh, she rested her cheek upon his neck, careful to avoid the spike next to her. She could feel slight vibrations through his scales and grinned. “That is a very lovely song,” she commented.

"It was from my youth," Tyvra replied. "A song of heroes and destiny and triumph over evil. For those of us who have seen the true underworld and all of its hellfire, it is one of the greatest dis-proven theories in a song's whimsical format. And yet, I find myself in love with it as I have always been. Perhaps it is because it offers me some comfort and hope."

“Well, it is quite a catchy little tune,” she sighed, gently stroking his neck. “Was it taught to you by other dragons?” she asked. Everything about her breed fascinated her. Growing up, she had never known any other dragons until Ammira met Jazlin and introduced her to Celeste who was a vastly different kind of dragon. Tyvra was a different kind of dragon in her eyes. He was the kind that she could relate to more, even if he was dead.

He nodded. "Yes. I forget you didn't have the benefit of a Clan growing up. Truthfully neither did I for a while. I left my home at a young age and for the longest time I was happy. I was in a group of gypsies. Did I ever tell you that?" Tyvra asked, craning his neck so he could look back at her for a moment.
He slipped an image into her mind, brushing the edge of her consciousness with himself when he was alive. He was handsome and had none of the scars or other injuries of his current age. He was playing with two other dragons, laughing and dancing, while humans, animals, and even other dragons looked on. There was music and laughter and the sound of soft, jingling bells.

“No, you have not!” she giggled, closing her eyes. She watched him dance around in her mind and chuckled. “You look so…different,” she said for lack of better words. She did not wish to offend him by admitting that she liked his current form better than his younger form because she was not sure which he preferred, though she was certain that it was the latter. “I cannot believe how many dragons there were!”

"There were even more than that. Those were just the families that traveled with us. Occasionally we'd go through lands belonging to full Clans," Tyvra said.
He slipped another image into her mind of the gypsy band. This time, they had wagons stopped on a flat surface in front of a cave entrance. A huge golden dragon who's head almost touched the top of the cave stood in its mouth. Behind him were countless eyes in the darkness, all belonging to dragons who came to see the newcomers.
"We'd come for food and supplies in exchange for entertainment and stories. Sometimes we'd even pick up temporary travelers when we stopped. Often times they made me the negotiator when it came to dealing with other dragons."
He flashed a new image of himself. He was a little older and more filled out. He was well muscled by this point in his life, but still held some of the lankiness of youth. He was bowing to an older female dragon who in turn bowed back, accepting an invitation to travel with them.

“Wow… Entire Clans of other dragons…” she gasped. “And to think I counted myself lucky to have met TWO dragons!” She watched the second scene flash before her and sighed. It all made her long for that connection to other dragons, to live with them and act as they would in their Clan’s. She would have even just been contented with at least meeting her parents.
“That seems like a fair enough trade,” she agreed with him. “It must have been fun, always meeting new people like that…” She trailed off and wiped a tear from her cheek with the back of her hand. /Don’t cry, you fool!/ she ordered herself.

Tyvra could feel her sorrow. He withdrew from her mind to escape it, not wanting her to feel his reaction. He hummed a few more bars of his song then paused. "Hey Carea... How far do you think Ammira would be alright with you traveling? Without her I mean. I'd like to show you something but it'd require a long time away and I wouldn't want to separate you two for long... Though I suppose it'd be okay if she came if you really couldn't be apart."

Carea bit her lip. “Apart…from my rider…?” she stammered, gently drumming her fingers on his neck. “I-I have never been away from her long, and certainly never far…” She longed so much to just go with Tyvra, but there were so many unknowns involved. Once, she had ventured off from her rider, but it wasn’t really very far, yet Ammira complained when she returned that something felt awful. Now that they had been together for….she wasn’t even sure how many years it had been…she was unsure if being apart would be even worse than it was before.

He pulled back from her mind, shrinking away from the pained feeling. Such hurting was for the living. He had no will to experience it again. A shudder ran through him and he adjusted himself, landing gracefully on the ground so he could lay down and look back at her. It was difficult but he managed.
"Then she may come too. I have things I wish to show you but I can see it would hurt for you two to be apart."

“I am sorry. It is quite awkward, I must admit, but I do not want to hurt her or myself,” she said with a sigh. “It will certainly not be the same with her tagging along.” She shrugged and gently ran her hand down his scales. “You are certain that you will not mind? I suppose that once we get closer, we can find somewhere for her to stay so you and I can be alone. She should not mind.”

He chuckled. "It's alright. Besides, I am sure she'll enjoy where I intend to take you two just as much as you. She might even find somewhere to wander off to on her own as a result." A sly smile came across his lips. "Shall I let it be a surprise or do you want to know now? ...Also it will be a long flight so you and Ammira may both wish to ride on my back if she's alright with that."
