“Oh, yes. I forgot,” Carea sighed, kneeling down by the hatchlings. She didn’t wish to change while the small dragon was by her. Carefully, she reached out and stroked it between the eyes.
“There is NOTHING cuter than a hatchling,” Ammira laughed, watching the playful babes. “I am so glad you let me come along, Tyv. This place is just…amazing.”

It closed its eyes, pleased, like a cat and rubbed against her leg a bit. Then the hatchling scampered off, called over by a much larger black dragoness who appeared to be its mother. Tyvra had a small blue one on his head, tugging on one of his ears.
"You're very welcome. I'm glad you are both enjoying yourselves...I thought Carea would like to see our kind are far from dead."

Carea laughed and waved as it ran away, closing her eyes and willing herself to return to her true form. She shuddered as she felt the magic flow through her. When the transformation was complete, she stretched her wings. “Much better,” she chuckled.
Ammira smiled and looked at her dragon. “I was beginning to forget what you really looked like!”
/Don’t be like that,/ Carea groaned to Ammira alone in her mind.
With a roll of her eyes, Ammira turned to look at the other dragons in the room.

Tyrvra watched her transformation, captivated, and only tore himself away when she'd returned to a dragon. He put his cheek to hers affectionately. "You are lovely."
The other dragons were all going about their business. The hatchlings in particular just seemed content to run around until their mothers herded them back into their nests. Karashe started to walk further into the cavern, bearing a left away from the room. "I am sure you all are hungry after your journey?" he asked them over his shoulder.

“As are you,” Carea giggled, rubbing her cheek against his gently. “It feels great to have scales and wings once more. Humans are far too vulnerable.”
Ammira rolled her eyes. “Ew! Child present!” she groaned.
“You’re nearly a thousand years old. You do not count as a child anymore,” Carea pointed out.
“Touché…” she grumbled.
Carea turned her attention to Karashe. “Food would be much appreciated, thank you.”

"You are far from a child Ammira," Tyvra replied. His voice had a hard edge to it as the side of himself he tried to keep hidden slipped out. "Do not act as if you have never seen love." He turned his back to her and started to follow Karashe.
The great, white dragon continued to speak over his shoulder as he led the way. "You are most welcome. But...I am afraid we do not stock food for humans. Is there anything we can do for your friend? I presume she will not eat raw meat as most of us do."

“Harsh…” Ammira mumbled, rubbing the back of her neck. “I was just kidding around, Tyvra…” She sighed and turned to Carea.
“It is true, so do not pretend it is not,” Carea stated, turning to follow Karashe. She felt a tiny twinge of guilt for her behavior to her rider.
“Oh, I’m not hungry. I’ll just go check out the village down there,” she sighed, turning and walking away. She was beginning to wish she had not come along. It was blatantly obvious that they did not want her around, anyway.

Tyvra spun and moved in a blur. Thief habits died hard. He blocked her way and stared down at her with his ice blue eyes. They seemed more concerned than angry.
"Are you sure? I don't want you to think I'm angry with you... Because I am not. I am just easily irritated is all. I've forgotten to keep myself in check. Being away from human cities tends to bring out the old me."

Ammira froze in her tracks, not quite sure what to expect from Tyvra. The absolute last thing she had expected was an apology or anything close to it. “Yes, I am sure. After all, you know I can’t stand the sight of meat, especially when it is raw,” she laughed, making a face. She grinned to show him that there were no hard feelings between them.
Carea smiled softly to herself. She was glad the two would not part on a bad note. She stopped and turned toward the two. “You be careful,” she told Ammira.
“Hey, relax! I’m not a child!” she jested with her pet.

Tyvra nodded his head in respect and understanding. He stood aside and allowed her to leave. "Just don't get into too much trouble. Remember this place is like stepping back in time a bit. Modern world doesn't apply here and it's a refuge for all kinds of people and creatures from the old days down there in the village."
Then he turned and went with Karashe through the tunnels. They came into section of cave which was absolutely huge. Much bigger than any nesting area. Here there was a table made of stone. It was a long, but decorative slab. It flowed from the floor in such a way that suggested it was claw and fire carved by ancient dragons of this Clan long ago. The walls were also decorative, showing scenes from their race's history.
"Welcome to the great hall," Karashe said with a flourishing bow.

“Sounds like my kind of place!” she laughed, adjusting her backpack and letting her skateboard drop to the ground. “This oughta be interesting!” She walked out of the cave, skateboard in hand headed straight for the village.
Carea stayed close by Tyvra’s side, taking in all of the sights the cave had to offer. She thought back to when she was a mere dragon chick and only wished she could remember something as amazing as this growing up. However, she was forced to grow up in secret and did not get to experience anything of the like. After all, she had only just found out there were other dragons in existence.
“Well, it certainly is…great…” Carea gasped, at a loss for words and she looked around the hall. “This is just so…amaing…!”

"I thought you'd like it," Tyvra said cheerily. He have her a nuzzle. He looked to Karashe. "Have you hunted today or shall I assist in capturing our meal my old friend?"
The white dragon chuckled. He shook his giant head. "No, we have the situation covered Tyvra. Thank you for your offer though." He waved a clawed hand over a section of the wall which slid downward like a great door. Behind it was ice and snow, magically induced for sure, with deer, birds, and other small animals kept fresh.

Carea stared at the door, jaw dropped. It reminded her much of what Ammira referred to as a refrigerator; only this one was full of something OTHER than chocolate. This pleased her because she found little enjoyment from the candy bars, and raw meat did not taste well with human taste buds.
“This is all so unreal!” she sighed. “Thank you, Tyvra.” She nuzzled him back and closed her eyes for a moment before opening them again. She had to make sure that she was not dreaming and was truly awake.

Tyvra chuckled. He had to admit it was kind of amusing to see her so shocked at something as simple as an ice spell. Many clans used to use it to keep food fresh, especially in times like this when hunting was rare due to the presence of humans. Karashe was extremely lucky to have his clan in a place so dragon friendly.
The purple dragon selected a deer for himself and picked it up gently in his mouth. He reached out with his mind, an usual thing for him, and projected his thoughts so that both Carea and Karashe could hear him. ~Where shall I take this to?~
"You can eat where you'd like. I suggest taking Carea up to the mountain top spring. I think you two would enjoy the view from there. You know where it is. If not then I will be in the dining hall."
Tyvra nodded his head as best as he could with the deer and waved with his tail to the 'fridge' for Carea. ~Pick whatever you'd like.~

Carea continued to stare at the vast abundance of food. “This is all just so…unreal…so fascinating…” She walked over to the cave, placing each clawed foot with care as if placing it just wrong would disrupt the moment and cause her dream to shatter. Gingerly, she lifted the carcass of a large feral dog. She chuckled slightly to herself, thinking how mortified Ammira would be upon the sight of her dragon with a limp animal hanging from her jaws.
~I thank you for your kindness,~ she told Karashe through her thoughts, finding it rather rude to speak with one’s mouth full of flesh. She turned to Tyvra, a tear dancing in the corner of her eye. ~I could never have asked for a kinder dragon than you to enter into my life.~ She sort of smiled, but the dog kept her from doing so. ~I shall follow you.~
