“Oh, surprises are so much more romantic! I do not want to ruin the excitement!” she chirped, hugging his neck as best she could without skewering herself. “That would be fine by me, and I am sure it would be fine by her. After all, she really seems to like having you around and I am sure she would not mind riding on you. I will be thankful for the break from flying.” She smiled softly and ran her hand down the side of his neck. “When will we leave?”

"Whenever you wish. We'll have to tell Ammira and give her some notice, perhaps gather supplies and tell others we're making a trip. ...And of course I'll have to request off from work for a while. I guess I could always just quit. It isn't as if I need the money. It's just good cover for the jawbone. So perhaps in two days time?"

“Two days will be just fine! That is plenty of time for us to get ready, and you really should not quit your job. You always seem so at home at work. I am certain they will give you some time off, will they not?” she asked. She sat up straight once more. “Oh, I feel like such a small child! This is so exciting! I cannot remember a time when I was more excited!”

"Then it is settled. In two days time we will be off to- Well, I won't spoil the surprise. I'm sure you'll both adore it," Tyvra said. At the mention of his job he sighed. "I do like it there but it's really just cover. I'm a thief at heart anyway. A hand for hire...but of course none of that applies in the modern world anymore."

“Well, it technically does apply, it is just a lot more difficult now because of all of the crazy inventions that the humans have decided to make up. Still, it is good to have an…honest…job. Not that there is anything wrong with being a thief! I mean… Well… I should probably just close my mouth now,” she mumbled, a blush blooming on her cheeks.

He chuckled in amusement. "It's cute when you get flustered, Carea... but no, I understand what you mean. I wasn't always a thief, anyway. When I was with the gypsies I more-so did sleight of hand tricks rather than pick pocketing."

She ran her hand through her long black hair, pulling herself together slightly. “Like one of those… What did Ammira call them? I believe it was a magician,” she said. “You could have considered that as your job! Would that not be fun? I have seen them on that magic color picture box! I could be you beautiful assistant,” she giggled.

He shook his head. "I'm afraid I got rather bored doing that. It became too easy to fool people when you're used to doing it anyway. I got tired of fake impressing people... Besides, I've never been one to like direct attention anyway. I prefer to lurk. Being on stage drove me nuts."

“Oh… I suppose that would get frightfully boring,” she sighed with a shrug. “Well, it was simply a suggestion. Maybe we could find a black market for you to play up!” she giggled, punching him teasingly. “What more shall we do tonight? I wish it would never end! Everything is just so perfect!”

"No thank you. I've been clean for most of these years. There's no need to give myself a high profile job again. I personally don't want to get involved in the modern blackmarkets. It's mostly drugs and weapons these days. Nothing fun anymore." He dropped his head onto his front talons. "As for what else to do tonight, I suggest simply enjoying one another's company. The night is still beautiful and we still have much time."
((Shall we timeskip to two days later?))

“That sounds as good as anything right now,” she whispered, sliding off his back. To say that it was a clumsy dismount would be putting it lightly. She brushed the dirt from her pants before sitting next to Tyvra’s head on the ground, reaching up and tenderly stroking his cheek.
((Works for me.))

Two days later they stood back at the same lake. This time it was when the sun was rising, putting it at their backs. He was in his dragon form, laying low to the ground to allow both of them to get onto his strong back. He wore a saddle this time. He'd managed to get the supplies together to make Carea's fit. He didn't want either of them to be uncomfortable on the long journey.
"Alright ladies, do we have absolutely everything?" he asked. It was like the fourth or so time but he wanted to be sure.

“For the one millionth time, Tyvra, YES we have everything!” Ammira groaned, shouldering her backpack as she climbed on. One of her many skateboards was sticking out of the bag. “There is nothing we have forgotten.” She held out a hand to Carea.
She thankfully took her master’s hand and climbed up the side of the dragon. “This is rather awkward…” Carea admitted.
“You’re telling me…” Ammira mumbled, helping Carea strap into the saddle. “Alright. Everything’s good up here, Tyv!”

Tyvra chuckled. "Well once we arrive you two can take a flight together if it makes up for it," the purple dragon said. He opened his impressive wingspan and took off. He circled the lake a few times to gain height- not wanting to go straight up since Carea wasn't used to flying on someone's back- and began to fly toward their destination.
He took his time to get to the proper altitude, allowing them both to take in the sights. Then he let a shimmer of magic slip over them, hiding them from sight. While his body detested magic, ironically enough he'd managed a small tolerance to this spell in particular due to its usefulness when doing thief jobs.

“I’m actually beginning to like this a bit better…” Carea admitted with a smirk.
“You better not, you overgrown lizard!” Ammira teased back, punching Carea in the arm. “But, seriously… I can’t get over this whole human thing. It really just creeps me out sometimes, ya know?”
“Then perhaps I should stay this way forever, my rider!” she laughed.
“Still weird…”
